Bar Coding Sets of Books

Dear Group,
I am a first year librarian and I have been lurking on list serve for
about six months and thanks to all of you that have made my job easier
with all the good information.
My problem now is that the Title One teacher has brought in about 200
books that she wants bar coded as sets of books for the teachers to check
out of the library.  Any suggestions?  Do we bar code each book?  Can
they be put into bags and bar code the set?  Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.
