Dear LM_NET Colleagues (and CALIBK12), We gathered again yesterday morning in a follow-up to the Friday LM_NET Breakfast. On Saturday we hald a panel discussion, which included comments and questions from panelists and audience. We have four panelists: California school librarians Richard Moore and Christine Allen, both of whom are writers and editorial consultants and advisors, plus two publishers, Marlene Woo-Lun (Linworth) and Beth Snyder (ABC-Clio). I won't review the session, except to say that LM_NET (and CALIBK12) are very important tools to writers and publishers. We appear to be very effectively using this new communications medium to solve problems in at least two ways: 1) by asking and receiving help from each other, and 2) by alowing publishers and producers to get better acquainted with our problems, needs and priorities. Looks like a fairly successful symbiotic relationship that we have established!
