My first library job 26 years ago was as a book shelver in college.
Loved it.  I spent hours quietly thinking, browsing, and shelving.  Now
I'd love to have the time to do it, but every time I try someone comes to
me with a computer problem, or a book request or something.

I also have a parent volunteer who gets mad if I do it because she loves
to do it herself.
