Gen: AUP Quaker Schools only

Dear Friends,

As an independent Quaker school we are in the process of trying to have our
AUP approved by our school committee.  We are running into some philosophical
"differences" with our school board in terms of the statements expressed in
our AUP. We have been told they do not express our "Quaker philosophy
adequately". We are somewhat confused by this statement as we hve tried to
include our school's mission statement within our policy.   If there are any
Quaker schools who are willing to share a copy of your AUP with us, we would
greatly appreciate it.  We have a meeting scheduled on Dec.11 with our Tech
Committee and the clerk of our school committee.

Are there any Friends schools out there who are experiencing similar
difficulties ?  We would like to hear from you too !
