TARGET: end-of-year service/contracts

Hello all,
In previous years, the principal has allowed our library to shutdown
during the last week of school so the librarian could do inventory.  Now
that we have an automated catalog and can do inventory while circulating
books, he would like library service through the last day of school.

I would appreciate responses as to how many schools allow their libraries
to be closed during the last week of school and how many librarians are
given an extended contract.  It would be helpful to know if the library is
automated or not.  If I get enough responses, I will post a hit.
