A friend of mine is putting together a web page for his school. I am =
enclosing
his original e-mail for anyone who can provide information. Thank you.

"Internet (specifically www) is often passive information which
users go looking for .... rarely are www sites actively supporting the
teaching and learning process.

A new style of web site seems to be developing which changes this focus
from passive to T&L (and is often fun as well).

As an example .... have a look at the site http://www.eduweb.com/pintura
which is a "Art History Who-dun-it".

I'm looking for similar sites to this one..... I'm sure that they are
there ... in growing numbers .... unfortunately the search engines offer
little help in finding them.

During the next year I shall be developing a series of subject web pages
for our own schools and would like to include links to sites such as the
one mentioned above. These pages will be available publicly... I'll let
you know the addresses once I get to a stage when I dare do so... and if
you are interested.
This may be a project that other staff in your school are interested in,
so please feel free to forward this email."

Thank you in advance.
