Does anyone out there know of a website that provides an interactive
point-to-point world map that calculates the distance between 2
different locations (in different countries - sometimes rather small
cities) for you?? For instance, if a student were given an assignment
to find the distance between Fresno, California and Prenzlau, Germany,
is there a website that would provide a world map or atlas that would
allow someone to plot those to points and figure the distance, or even a
close estimate? I have a teacher who wants students to do some of those
types of tasks, and would like to help them explore the many different
types of information available on the internet.

I know that MapQuest, and Vicinity's MapBlast will plot a course from
place to place in the US, and give miles traveled, but I don't know of
any similar site for world-wide coverage.

TIA,
