This is in response to bevday@metro.k12.mn.us. At least that is what I copied but it came back undeliverable. Hope this helps. I am currently in a fixed schedule elementary. The past two years I was in a high school so naturally it was a flexible schedule. A great book on flex access is "Flexible Access Library Media Programs" by Jan Buchanan. It is published by Libraries Unlimited and the ISBN is 0-87287-834-1. I am in the process of crusading for flexible access. I think the greatest thing is more curriculum integration. Library skills can be so boring for the kids as well as the librarian. Flex access does give more time for students to learn variousl technologies. The three schools that I have been a part of have had much more technology than teachers know how to use. Flex schedule makes for a more interesting day even though the work load is at least as tiring. Good luck on finding information. *************************** Megan Volmer Media Specialist Fort Mill Elementary School Fort Mill, SC volmerm@fort-mill.k12.sc.us *************************** =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST For more help see LM_NET On The Web: http://ericir.syr.edu/lm_net/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
