Illinois Accreditation

Hi, All,

Concerning accreditation, I, too, am curious.  Here in Illinois, several
school districts have interviewed me for .5 FTE positions.  I have told
each that I will do the best job I can, but I canNOT imagine doing the job
I did last year in half the time!!!  Another case of educators not making
these decisions.  A principal told me in an interview on Friday that they
were "up to" .5 positions from sharing one library media specialist between
three building just 4 years ago.  I was incredulous!

Thanks for letting me vent, but if anyone knows WHY they are so sparsely
staffed, I'd like to hear a real reason for it.
