HIT: Sharp Multimedia Projector

So many individuals asked for the information regarding the Sharp
Multimedia Projector that I decided to post the information.  Our school
ordered this projector, based upon LM_NET feedback last May.  I sent out
a message saying our LCD panel had worn out, asking for recommendations
for a multimedia projector under $4000.  The following piece of hardware
came highly recommended by many, many LM_NET-er's.  I have heard that
Sharp is backlogged with orders and has its dealers on allocation,
often with substantial waits.  Any other information, I do not have ...

Sharp XG-E690U High Image Portable Multimedia Projector (incl. cabling
for both PC & MAC) ....   we paid $2750.  We also ordered a hard shell
carry case for the projector ... $175.
