Hello All,

Thanks to the eleven people who took the time to respond to my
<fontfamily><param>Helvetica</param><bigger>rhetorical</bigger></fontfamily>
question concerning TL's, and network administration training.

I'd post the responses but the resulting message is greater than the
350 line LM_Net message limit.

Amazingly, most of the respondents have received some form of network
training, paid for by schools, school boards or other local agencies.
That's the good news. The bad news is, these same folks also felt that
the training they received was at best, barely adequate.

Despite that, this still provides me (and hopefully you too) with a ray
of hope that school boards will eventually recognize the importance of
technology training and fund it accordingly.

Coincidentally, there has been a parallel discussion on the EdTech list
regarding funding for technology training. Someone has proposed that
30% of all money spent on technology should be allocated to inservice
and training, instead of buying more "stuff". Interesting concept.

Thanks again to all those who responded
