K-12 Library automation ideas

I am contempleting writing a manual describing the different vendor forms
(Baker and Taylor, Follett, etc) and explaining how to fill them out in the
various k-12 library automtion systems on the current market.  I would like
relevant comment from school media people and any additional topics that
you would like to see in the book on general k-12 library automation. Would
a breakdown of MARC in simple English be useful as well? Steps to prepare
for library automation? Retrospective conversion companies and forms?
