Hi,
I responded to the original post (I'm #11) but after reading all the
responses just had to add a thought. I'm sure glad our public library
doesn't withhold privileges or impose any penalties. Normally a reasonably
responsible person (I think), I have been known to leave a book in a
restaurant and once I even accidentally "burned" a book (laid it on the
stove and turned on the wrong burner) and have returned them to the wrong
library. All they asked me to do is pay for the item (they also quit
charging fines many years ago). No comments. So I guess my attitude has
been formed by theirs. "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone."
