My request was for career programs which would support career exploration
at the 8th grade level.
This is not a very long hit; most of the messages received asked for a
posting. However I did receive these suggestions, both of which I have
received for previewing. Thank you for your suggestions:

We purchased the Career Discovery Encyclopedia on CD-ROM. We bought a
9+ user license so that we could install it in one Macintosh lab. It's
pretty good. The students can search for careers related to school
subjects that they're good in, or by personal interests. There are
listing of jobs according to education needed and also by future
outlook. I think the program cost us $199. Ferguson Publishing

Hope this helps.

We are a high school, but have been using the COIN materials. Recently,
they sent out a flyer advertising a middle school version of their program.
We like Coin a lot and think the middle school version should be good also.
You can call COIN at 800-274-8515. We also use Vocational Biography books
with the kids. These spiral bound issues come out 7 times a year in a
subscription format. Kids like them because articles are 4 pages long and
actually are in the format of an interview with a real person with a data
box on the last page outlining all the pertinent data. Hope this helps.
