Hi. At least one other person wanted to know the answer so here's is a paraphrasing of the most often-sent response to my query (Why are some of the "Fox" books by James Marshall seemingly authored by Edward Marshall?): James Marshall invented a "cousin" Edward to author some of his books by a different publisher. He was prevented by his original publisher from using his own name. The 2 authors are, indeed, the same person. This sounds a bit like the Dr. Seuss, Theo LeSieg, story, tho the LeSeig books are also published by Random House, Seuss's publisher. For those of you who don't know that: Theo. LeSieg is Theodore Seuss Geisel (LeSeig is his surname spelled backwards.) Thanks to all who answered my question.
