Dear LM_NET Colleagues, A bit more on this issue: I checked the full headers of the offending message, and found where it originated (hotmail.com, it appears, with some association with another free e-mail provider, freeyellow.com) Here is some of the header info: > Return-Path: <tempting70@hotmail.com> > Received: from mail1.freeyellow.com (reserved-176-67.freeyellow.com > [204.71.176.67] (may be forged)) I just received an automated response from one of the service providers who may have been involved in the spam to some of our members, freeyellow.com. Their message offered very little in the way of help. However, I have made it a policy of examining the full header of the spammed messages I receive, and contacting the e-mail service providers involved. In this case, I sent messages to: abuse@hotmail.com and postmaster@hotmail.com and to abuse@freeyellow.com and postmaster@freeyellow.com I do this in the hope that in the long haul it may have some effect to limit such abusive use of the internet e-mail system.
