Checkpoint security system

I have been interested in a library security system for
a number of years, but the price was always prohibitive.
Last week a representative from Checkpoint talked to me
about - I believe his term was - a refurbished system.
In other words it would be a used or second-hand one.
He said it would save about $2,000 dollars and that people
who had them found them quiet reliable.  I think for the
price he quoted me I might be able to find the funding.
Before I seriously pursue funding, I would like to hear
from some libraries who have systems.  If any of you have
had this experience, would you please let me hear from you.
