I'd like to add to this discussion. Today I met with my assistant
superintendent for business and technology director. They are willing to
get me at least five new computers. These computers would have word
processing, database management, and spreadsheet capability, internet
access, and any other databases I have on my current machines. What they
want is for the library to stay open until 5 P.M. Five o'clock is the time
our sports bus/late bus leaves. They are willing to hire an extra person to
cover the library, since my day is from 7:30 until 2:30. I plan to be part
of the discussions involving the added personnel, but that person's
supervisor is actually the building principal. I think it's a good idea.
The library gets more machine power and the students get more access time.
