In regards to the discussion of displaying my credentials at school  -- =
I worked extremely hard to get my MLIS and my post-graduate work and I =
proudly display them at home.  However, at school I figure that if my =
education and training isn't apparent by the kind of work I do, then =
there's no reason to brag about it.  I'll admit it takes longer to gain =
status on a new job, but when I've gained respect I feel it is stronger =
and not merely based on a piece of paper.  Without paperwork on the wall =
opens the opportunity to discuss what it takes to be a Librarian/Media =
Specialist to the students when they're considering different careers.
