puberty problems

I have been approached by a special ed teacher who has avoided me like the
plague for months now.  At last, she has found a need  so I would
appreciate any help you could send me!!
She has a Down's Syndrome child in her class.  The child is 9, was just
toilet trained last year and mom has been told by her doctor that it
appears that the girl will begin menstration soon.  Mom is looking for a
book that will try to explain "what's going on" to this child - much like
the books she used for toilet training.
Are any of you aware of such a book??  ANY help will be greatly
appreciated.  Please send any info to me direct.  thank you
