I started thinking today about flyleaves in books. Nearly every time first graders come to the library for their session, I teach a part of the wonderful things we call books. It is time to "teach" flyleaves. What is bothering me is "Why are these end pages called flyleaves?" I would rather call them end pages, but the official term, I believe, is "flyleaf." If you know any info on this part of books, I would appreciate your input. --Donna Cook, (raguet@lcc.net) Library teacher, Raguet Elem.
