Any suggested websites that I can access and find out what happened on
a specific day in history? I am particularly interested in US
History for an upcoming project, but World History sites would be
helpful, too. For instance, I'd like to plug in a date like "January 6,
1942" or September 9, 1847, and see what was happening.

Also, I have a couple of books that work for this, but would you
please recommend others?

Thanks for your assistance.

M. :-)
