SEC: Author Teleconference/e-mail

Group,
One of the English teachers wants to have her AP class do an email and
teleconference (if possible) session(s) with a black author during
Black History Month.  Students will read a work by the author and do a
research paper also.  Have any of your teachers done a similar project
and had success in finding an author to participate? We have not had
much success in finding email addresses of authors on the high school
level.   Any suggestions would be appreciated.
