ELEM:GREET:I LOVE TO READ

I am another one of those "first time" posters to the list serv even =
though I have been "lurking" for about 2 months.  I have responded to =
some of your questions, but this is my first step at asking for your =
wonderful assistance.

I am the Information Technology Specialist (fancy new title for media =
specialist in our district) at a K-6 building of about 900 students and =
growing.  We are making plans to celebrate I Love To Read month =
beginning on Monday.  One of you gave me the idea to incorporate =
greetings from across the United States which also recommend titles of =
books which are set in each state.  I know that recently there have been =
postings of titles representing different states.  I would like to ask =
you to send the students at my school a greeting for I Love to Read =
Month and to include the title and author for one book which is set in =
your home state.  I have a map of the United States posted in our front =
hallway and will be attaching your emails around it with yarn joining =
each email with its corresponding state.  Hopefully, by the end of the =
month we will have all 50 states represented and possibly emails from =
other parts of the world as well.  This will also flow into our =
activities for Read Across America on March 2.

Since I don't have time to keep up with this list serv at work, I have =
it on my home computer, hence the different email addresses.  It would =
be my preference if your emails came to me at school, but I will still =
gratefully accept them as a reply to my home email address.  TIA.
