Hit: Pinching on March 17

I grew up in South Texas and it was/is all the "rage" to do on March 17,
if someone is not wearing green you give them a pinch..(No one that I
have asked knows
how/why this began.)
   If one forgot, they pinned a small piece of green paper to their
clothing.  Now the custom is to try to sell little shamrocks for someone
to wear as "insurance."  Elem. ages think the pinching is great fun, but
even adults in offices make sure they wear green...even people who
obviously have no "Irish" blood.
