I haven't read all the thread here, but I am 54 years old living in Missouri. I was raised in Southern California, have lived in Arizona and Utah and have been in the public schools in each of those states. EVERYWHERE I have lived, on St. Patrick's Day kids pinch anyone who doesn't wear green. I believed it was a universal practice and had been there forever, considering my age. I'm really surprised to read this discussion that people in other parts of the nation don't know about this.
