TECH: Scanners

Our school recently purchased a Mustek 1200 IIIEP scanner for the
library. The User Guide gave instructions for Windows 95, but not for
Win.3.1 - which is the system we have. Also when I scan text the results
are often unreadable. I saw an ad for xerox Textbridge Pro 96 which is
for Win. 3.1--according to xerox this program will improve text scanning
greatly. Has anyone used either the scanner or Textbridge pro 96? I be
interested in what scanners and software others are successfully using.
