ELEM: Crash and Belle Prader's Boy

Greetings!  My fourth graders (and I) are totally bonkers loving the
book CRASH by Jerry Spinelli.  Room for lots of discussion,
understanding the differences between people,  many laughs to be had,
and a great message about being able to be a jock and have sensitive
feelings at the same time. You'll LOVE it.  Also, I am in love with
Ruth White's Belle Prader's Boy.  I don't know if it's just because I
have a place in my heart for the hollers of Ky. and those types of
stories and I wonder if my New England kids would get the nuances. But
what a powerful story.  Run, don't walk....
