Target: Story Introductions

I need suggestions for quick, attention-getting activities for the following books 
to be used with
prek and early primary children:  "To Market, To Market" by Miranda; "Plantpet" by 
Primavera; and
"Hot Hippo" by Hadithi.  I love these books, but  haven't come up with any 
one-minute, snazzy new
ideas to either follow-up or introduce them.  So, I'm turning to your years of 
experience and great
creative minds for help. Thanks.
