Go ahead, Ken.  Hang onto that anachronism.  Maybe it's all you've got
left!
 Digression from 1964 follows:
When I was in kindergarten I was excited out of my mind one day to be
bringing home a note asking for permission to go on a field trip.  I
unpinned it from my coat on the way home and read something like the
following:  "Your child is invited to go with his class to . . ."  Man!!
(you should excuse the expression) Was I disillusioned.  I wasn't going
to get to go.  It was just for boys. It was all a big, fat lie!  I was
sobbing by the time I reached home.  I was not convinced that I was
included until I was actually on the bus on the way to Sealtest Dairy.

Yes, the horse left the barn.  The arrangements were probably that each
horse would have HIS own stall.
