Hello everyone:

I subscribe to another list (yeah, can you beleive how much stuff I have to
read?) where I read an interesting post yesterday about Amazon.com.
It said that Amazon carries a number of books by two notorious Holocaust
deniers, Robert Faurisson and A.R. Butz, and published by the Historical
Review Press, a well known revisionist publisher. It has been reported that
books there are listed under "Jews", "religion", "history" even when they are
clearly anti-semitic.

I went to the Amazon site to check the accuracy of this and saw 9 titles under
the subject of "Holocaust Revisionist Literature", which seemed to me to be
appropriate. But then I noticed that some of those books listed other
subjects that could be accessed, such as, "Jewish Holocaust" and "World War,
1939-1945", where they could be found, presumably, by someone looking for
books about the Holocaust. I also can't tell if they carry clearly anti-
semitic books under the subject of "Jews", because there were too many to
search, but the Jewish librarian listserv that posted the item was clearly
concerned about it. (For Instance, the notorious forgery, The Protocols of
the Elders of Zion, was listed under three subjects: Jews, Religion, and
Politics, but not under Antisemitism.)

I don't know if there is much to be done about it, but it sounded creepy to
me.
