Don't blame Amazon. They list 2.5 million books, and I am reasonably sure do not create the keywords themselves (except possibly for some titles of special interest -- that I don't know about). You doubtless can find lunatic works about alien abduction, ancient astronauts, past-life regression, and Atlantis listed under various "science" keywords, too. In any event, you might want to compare the keyword indexing at Barnes and Noble, etc., before focusing on Amazon as a bad guy.
