Yes! I, too, have had the freeze-up problem with my new home computer. It is suposed to be a power-saving feature which causes the monitor to turn "off" after 20 min. or so. Most disgusting was when I was trying to shut down. Screen which says "Please wait while computer shuts down" would never go away. I think I have solved the solution. If I can remember what I did (I'm at school on different machine now): I believe in the control panel I had an icon "Monitor" - I think I went into that and was able to disable the "shut off" mode. At least last night I did not have any freezing problems.
