Someone asked me this and I didn't know. On a local cable station there was a program on children's literature where someone read a whole children's book on the air - but not accurately and modified somethings. They had two questions. 1. Can someone read a whole book on the air (local cable channel) without the author's permission? 2. Can they modify it during the reading (I am assuming the book was not a folk-tale?) *** Frederick Muller fmuller@planet.net Halsted Middle School Library (973) 383-7440 ext.228 59 Halsted Street FAX (973) 383-7432 Newton, NJ 07860 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER: 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST * NOTE: Please allow time for confirmation from Listserv.
