Thanks to Australian and American colleagues who assisted wit this information We have a copy of The Catcher in the Rye and Nine Stories - NOTES by Coles 1986. You are welcome to them. Let me know and I will post them for use use for the duration. Gale Research Co is publishing a new series called Novels for Students. Vol 1 has Catcher in the Rye in it. They give an author biography, plot summary, charachters, themes, style, historical context, critical overview, and criticism, all in about 10 pages. These books are rated very highly by my English teachers. You might want to try to locate them. I have a learning packet from The Perfection Form Co. in Logan, Iowa 51546 on THE CATCHER IN THE RYE. It is their Contemporary Classics - Horizons in Literature Series. They have a catalog. NEA Today published a list of the Ten Most Taught Novels in High Schools and Catcher in the Rye was one of them. I've saved these from various messages posted on LM-NET.
