If it works for you go for it!  Years ago I took all the individual fairy
tales out of the 398s and shelved them in aplphabetical order by the  name of
the story in section near the picture books.  This way all versions of
Cinderella are under C, regardless of the who adapted or illustrated it.

The Dewey Police haven't come to arrest me (yet!).
