Computer platforms

Our school will be creating a new, wired computer lab. We are currently
weighing the pros and cons of having Power Macs or PCs.

Our district is moving in the direction of PCs in the five year plan, but
each school has the option of going with Mac for the lab. Each of our
classrooms currently has at least one Mac--from LC II to Power Mac.

Some of the tech committee members would like to "see" a PC lab in action
in an old school. We have concerns about power and upkeep. If you are
nearby, could we come visit?

We would also welcome comments from  folks about which platform you have
used in a lab situation, and what we need to look for to avoid pitfalls.
