For some time now I've filtered through the numerous postings to LM_NET and forwarded occasional messages to the California school library listserv (CALIBK12), mostly HITs and other compilations of information. Many school librarians just can't keep up with the volume on LM_NET and this has proven to be a valuable service that they really appreciate. When I forward the message I change the subject by adding "From LM_NET:" to the front of it, but leave the rest of the message as is - no editing. With the recent postings about LM_NET being copyrighted, I have been reluctant to continue this practice. I feel it would take too much time and create a day or two delay to ask each person for permission before I forwarded his/her message. What I plan to do now is to continue to forward these occasional messages to CALIBK12, but I will also forward a cc: to the person who posts the message. That way you will know if I forward your message. Does anyone have a problem with forwarding their messages to local library listservs in this manner?
