The Rolling Stone hit the front page of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
today. A small district (Ketttle Moraine) to the west of the city has
decided that the librarians in the district would no longer be responsible
for the selection of library materials. The selection of materials would be
evaluated by a committee. This new policy was due to the fact that a school
board member found Rolling Stone to be pornographic. It will be interesting
to see what happens with this. The censorship situation seems to be getting
worse and worse. THe article was very good. Brought up the fact that
libraries should have a balanced viewpoint, etc.
