One of our fourth grade classes has been reading Mary Downing Hahn's Wait Til Helen Comes. A parent has objected to it on grounds that it is too frightening for that age level. I feel that it is a quality book from a quality author, and by far the most popular ghost story in our K-5 library, even among third graders. Our multiple copies are literally falling apart from use. I would welcome hearing from anyone else who has had to deal with a challenge on or develop a rationale for this particular book. Thanks! George.
