Accelerated Reader Books

I am responsible for a 3rd through 5th grade library that is run by an
aide.  The teachers on her campus are trying to make her pull all the books
that she has that have Accelerated Reader tests on them and shelve them
separately from the rest of her collection with all of the 1st grade
reading level books together, 2nd grade level books together, etc.  She and
I both object to this because it is not the way books should be shelved and
it would make it impossible to use the catalog and call numbers as a way to
locate books.  We need reasons to give the teachers why we can't do this.
Can you help us.  They don't want to listen to us.
