GEN: great author visit

I was delighted to read about Lisa's experience with Jane Kurtz. Jane and I
hooked up about four years ago through messages we both posted to ChildLit. I
was the first one to use the box of realia and to work with her long
distance. Last spring she was finally able to come to our school for a visit
and it was the highlight of my nearly five years at the school. Everything
Lisa said was right on. Jane is a wonderful person as well as a wonderful
author. Any school (even one without any Ethiopian connections) would benefit
from a visit by her.
