This is a first-time post for me to this list, so may I introduce myself?  I
am a recently-hired high school media specialist at Staples High School in
Westport, CT.  I was an elementary school library media specialist long ago,
then retired to raise my four sons while working part-time as a public
library reference librarian. Now I'm a high school media specialist and I
love it!  And I love this list, too. It's nuts-'n-bolts, it's issues-  I find
it a real help in getting back into the swing of all things
library/educational.

Anyway, I just wanted to say how helpful Claudia's extensive and thorough
list is to me as a new hire!  My predecessor didn't leave a big mess or
anything, but the list is going to be quite helpful to me in making sure I
leave no stone unturned.  I can vouch for its authenticity in being what new
media specialists need to know!  I love the little touches like labelling
keys and writing down whether or not you do cafeteria duty.  Thanks, Claudia!
