Hi LM_NETters! Mary Ann made a really good point about reading our favorites over and over. I still do that with some books, and dare I admit that some of my favorites are what I call "Junk Food Romances?" They do nothing for my brain, but they feel sooo good going down! That's one reason that I have always encouraged children to read series books. They build the reading habit. The kids have a guaranteed read, that they know that they will enjoy, and they are practicing those reading skills. It's not great literature, but frankly I don't want great literature that will tear me apart emotionally everytime I read, why should they? Marcy Marcia Berbeza substitute Christina Sch. Dist.
