For all you Arthur Murray wanna-bes:

The most mentioned dance was the Macarena with the Electric Slide coming
in a close second...but some felt that it was an 80s dance.

Others follow along with suggestions and {my Comments}:

*Butterfly

*"techno" dances

* The Tootsie Roll - Also a song for the dance.

*Two Step - This is good with any country song.{anything like the
Polka?}

*Shag - Always a favorite here in the Carolinas to any beach
tune.{Thought this was out of the 60s?}

 *Da' Dip - A rap sorta song, I think, goes along with this dance.

*invite highschool students to come and demonstrate

*country/western dancing and ball room dancing are experiencing a
re-birth

* Blazing Boots - A country line dance with steps at
 http://www.sover.net/~smgood/dance.htm

* Two Step - Instructions at
 http://www.grin.net/~sae2/dancpart/steppart/twostds.htm

* Various links to many different dance instructions at
 http://www.danceamerica.com/mall/Studio-State/studioFL.html

*Chicken Dance.

I asked my own teen about ideas and she demonstrated a bunch that I'd
never heard of and doubt anyone else has either....I guess it's open
season on creating dance steps. American Bandstand where are you !?

Thanks for all your help - this was a fun one:-)
