For all you Arthur Murray wanna-bes: The most mentioned dance was the Macarena with the Electric Slide coming in a close second...but some felt that it was an 80s dance. Others follow along with suggestions and {my Comments}: *Butterfly *"techno" dances * The Tootsie Roll - Also a song for the dance. *Two Step - This is good with any country song.{anything like the Polka?} *Shag - Always a favorite here in the Carolinas to any beach tune.{Thought this was out of the 60s?} *Da' Dip - A rap sorta song, I think, goes along with this dance. *invite highschool students to come and demonstrate *country/western dancing and ball room dancing are experiencing a re-birth * Blazing Boots - A country line dance with steps at http://www.sover.net/~smgood/dance.htm * Two Step - Instructions at http://www.grin.net/~sae2/dancpart/steppart/twostds.htm * Various links to many different dance instructions at http://www.danceamerica.com/mall/Studio-State/studioFL.html *Chicken Dance. I asked my own teen about ideas and she demonstrated a bunch that I'd never heard of and doubt anyone else has either....I guess it's open season on creating dance steps. American Bandstand where are you !?
