When I started in the profession in 1973 I never dreamed that we would be able to have such a network, based on technology. However, I did have faith that technology was an essential component of library services, but did not think that computers would offer is such opportunities. At that time portable video and slide-tape productions were the major "new" technology formats that we used with our students and staff. What a pleasant surprise this computer networking has been. May we continue to be able to use it wisely!
