    I agree, Ursula Le Guin is near the top of my list of favorite =
writers.  I'd also include Robin McKinley and Jane Yolen.
    The sequel to Le Guin's Earthsea trilogy is Tehanu (Atheneum, 1990). =
 It's a powerful book;  IMHO it's best appreciated once one has reached =
middle age (whenever that may be).
    I've thoroughly enjoyed all three Harry Potter books.  They are just =
the most fun and most inventive I've read in ages.  The American ed. =
definitely has a nicer format than the British.
