I have been following the thread on rewards for overdue books. My school has a big problem with overdue books - and totally not returned books - but we also have a problem getting kids to read. SO: how do you encourage students to take books out while getting them to bring them back for others to borrow? A student could conceivable only check out two or three books a year and get a reward for not having an overdue book, while another student checks out three books every two weeks and has had a few overdue. Do you weight the total number of books checked out in determining rewards for no overdue books??
