Housing for 22yr. old in San Francisco

Hello and help! This is my first posting although I've replied to some
queries on the listserve.
I am trying to help out my 22 yr. old daughter with her search for
affordable housing in San Francisco. She is a 1999 graduate of Wesleyan
University(CT), and will begin her employment in an Americorps program
shortly in San Francisco. She needs housing asap-is presently staying with
a friend. If you live in that area, have any young adult children who
might know of housing possibilities, whatever, please write me and I will
answer promptly! She has been using the Internet housing option(don't
recall the name), but is not having great luck in return responses thus
far. She was pleased with the possibility of my reaching many people
around the country with one e-mail message. Thanks and hope to receive
