I don't want to get confused with a public library.  I feel that a
school library's purpose is to support the curriculum.  We have hundreds
of videos, and they do support the curriculum.  The teachers do not want
students seeing these videos indiscriminately, because then when it is
time to study the topic in class, if students have already seen the video,
the effectiveness is lost.  We check out a video to a student on these
conditions: it was shown in class when the student was absent, and the
student has a note from the teacher requesting us to check it out to
him/her.
